We went to the drivein on friday night, off moreland ave to go see a few new flicks. We sat around outside the truck and chilled with Piper, John and darren and saw Scary Movie 4 (just ok) and Ice Age 2 (not as good as the first, but still worth seeing). It was all pretty good, a nice night out, if a little bit chilly. Piper slept though 99% of the movies, only fussing through the first 10-15 minutes of Scary Movie 4.

We did get the annoying kids/mom from hell sitting in the car next to us when we switched screens for Ice Age. To start, when they all got back in the car (presumably from a restroom break) the mom instantly cleaned out her car of cups, candy wrappers and now cold popcorn. Good idea. However, instead of walking the 14 feet to the 50gallon trashcans on 2 sides of her car, she dumped it all right next to her car. Bad Idea. What the hell posesses people to do crap like that. Needless to say, it kind of set the tone for the rest of the movie. We watched half of it though her allowing her kids to flash her headlights, beep her horn, turn on the windshield wipers, and run around the car screaming. Not only was it annoying to us, but we had the baby sleeping in her playpen between our truck and her car. We picked her up, playpen and all, and the four of us shifted 30ft south to an empty spot, sans mothers with bratty kids.

On the downside, the truck battery ran down while playing the movies (they play over short-distance radio transmissions). On the upside, the place has 3 or 4 on-call people who stick around waiting to jump cars. This probably isnt an isolated incident. On the even upper side, we didnt need them anyways. The car recharged itself while we waited for the movie to end. We caught the last few min of Ice Age 2 listening to the other viewers radios.

Saturday, I had my extensions taken out (long story, no pun intended) and we walked around Mall of Georgia, which I affectionatly call MOG. Saturday night/Sunday morning, I worked the maintenance window, hopefully the last one for a while, but thats also a hope which I am not holding my breath for. Today, we pretty much chilled. Watched Desperate Housewives and Greys with Autumn and Isi and Pippi. I am desperatly waiting for Greys to overshadow DH. Its a much better show.

But, the cool news of the weekend, is that someone contacted me to marry them in June. I’m still waiting on some confirmations, but I think its hella cool that someone extended the opportunity for me to do it. I’ll let you know if it pans out.
